THERE ARE THEMATIC MAPS
WEATHER MAPS ARE THEMATIC MAPS
POLES, EQUATOR, HEMISPHERES, AXIS.
THE NORTH POLE IS AT THE TOP OF THE EARTH
THE SOUTH POLE IS AT THE BOTTOM
THE EQUATOR DIVIDES THE EARTH IN TWO PARTS: THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE (NORTH OF THE EQUATOR)
 THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE (SOUTH OF THE EQUATOR)
AXIS OF THE EARTH: THE AXIS GOES FROM THE NORTH POLE TO THE SOUTH POLE.
THE EARTH ROTATES ON ITS AXIS
